Steps to make Churma gur Laddoo / churma laddu with jaggary:
- Add 1/2 cup of ghee to 2 cups of whole wheat atta. Mix well till it resembles bread crumbs and binds well.
- Using little warm milk, knead a firm dough. Keep kneading for 4-5 minutes once everything has come together.
- Preheat ghee in a karahi and once it heats up lower the gas to minimum and wait for a while. Pinch out small portions of the dough and flatten them to make small puris. They shouldn't be too thick.
- Deep fry the puris on very low heat till they are cooked through. This is going to take a lot of time so be patient and do not increase the flame. Once they turn dark golden they should be done.
- Once the puris cool down totally, break them into small pieces. Now grind them to a coarse powder in a grinder. Keep aside.
- Slightly roast the nuts, this is very optional. you can just add the nuts without chopping.
- Heat 1 tbsp of ghee and add the besan and suji. Roast them on low flame till aromatic and golden.
- Add the roasted besan and suji to the powdered laddu mix. Also add the cardamom powder. Mix well.
- Also add the chopped nuts.
- Heat 1/2 cup ghee in a kadai, add 2 cups of gur. Melt it completely. Add the melted gur and ghee to the laddu mix.
- Mix it all well. And once it cools a little make small laddus. Cool it completely before eating.
- Yummy and healthy churma gud laddus are ready.
