- Transfer to a croc pot or heavy boiling pan and bring to the boil then turn to low and simmer stirring occasionally for an hour, then add the 2 tablespoons of tomato puree and mix in. I like to do the assembly in the dish as the Tortillas pick up a little Olive Oil as you put it all together. Soften your tortillas by wrapping in foil and heating in the oven for a couple minutes. This makes them easier to work with.
