Basically Chivda is a savoury mixture with a basic tempering of mustard seeds, curry leaves and some spices. Immerse the fine sieve ladle in the hot oil. Fry the cornflakes, stirring with a spoon, till they expand, become golden & crisp. Cornflakes can also be used to prepare healthy and spicy chivda.

- Open new packet of cornflakes to get the right amount of crunch. If you already have a opened packet then roast the cornflakes for 5mins before tempering
- For tempering add oil to pan
- One by one fry all ingredients well and remove them directly over cornflakes. Firstly peanuts then cashew then dahlya and remove on the cornflakes heap
- In the same add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves, asafoetida, sesame seeds and fry for 1-2 mins. Now add chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, dry mango powder. Fry for a minute and remove from flame.
- Pour the tempering on the cornflakes.
- Add salt and sugar powder over tempering and mix well until everything gets easily coated with the spices. And it's ready to eat.
Fry the cornflakes, stirring with a spoon, till they expand, become golden & crisp. Cornflakes can also be used to prepare healthy and spicy chivda.
